Moncton Black Tide Men’s and Women’s senior squads traveled to Saint John this past weekend to take on the Trojans.
In the men’s game, Black Tide came out victorious with a scoreline of 34-15. Try scorers for Moncton were Jesse McKay with two with singles going Stu Cosman, Damian Murphy and Brett Baxter.
On the women’s side, the Black Tide came up just short in a high scoring game, 38-33. Try scorers for Moncton were Kim Sinclair with a hat trick, Michelle Tingley and Allyson Ayles. Jayde Olscamp added 4 conversions for the Black Tide.
Looking ahead to next weekend, the men’s side travel to Belleisle to take on the Rovers while the women’s side host the Trojans in a rematch of last weekend.

The Moncton Black Tide came up with a 1-1 record this past weekend with the men coming out on top 29-14 against the Fredericton Loyalists. Try scorers for Moncton were Try scorers for Black Tide were Trevor Mouland, Jack MacBeath, Andrew MacDonald, Jesse McKay, Sandor Cselenyi and Damian Murphy. Former Black Tide player Alex Robart dotted down for the Loyalists.
On the women’s side, the Black Tide women lost a hard fought game to the Lady Loyalists 28-17. Try scorers for Moncton were Jayde Olscamp, Kim Sinclair and Sarah Barnett.
Looking forward to next weekend, the Men’s and Women’s teams travel to Saint John to take on the Trojans.

The Black Tide Senior Men’s team kicked off their season with a great road win in Miramichi with a 32-12 victory. Try scorers were Matt Heaton, Kyle Cormier, Stu Cosman, Chilli Morrison, Sandor Cselenyi and Jack MacBeath, who also added a conversion.
At home, the Women’s team came out with a 5-5 draw against the Saint John Irish. Try scorer for the ladies was Coline Ramade.
On the provincial scene, Black Tide were well represented with 6 players in Newfoundland at Atlantics. While the Spruce came away 0-2, each game was close and very hard fought.

Congrats to Will Taylor, Simon Delattre, Jesse Mckay, Alex Joannides and Josh Davies who have been selected to represent New Brunswick at Atlantics next weekend. The Spruce depart for Newfoundland June 15th!

Our 2017 Flag Rugby program will start on Wednesday June 28th from 6:30-7:30pm. Register in advance by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org with Name, birthdate, School and Medicare for your child/children. E-mail money transfers for $40 can also be sent to the same e-mail address.
The flag rugby program is for kids in grades K-8 and is used as a way to get kids familiarized with the basics of rugby, without the contact!
The program kicks off Wednesday June 28 from 630 to 730 and will run on Wednesdays until mid August. Registration is $40. We would recommend that all participants wear shorts a t-shirt and soccer cleats. The rest of the gear (flags, balls etc.) will be provided by the club.
One in person registration session will occur at École L’Odyssée on June 29th at 6:00pm.
