The BMHS Highlander’s girls rugby team bested JMH Tommies 32-10 in their league opener on Thursday night at McKenna Field. 1st year player Courtney Sarault scored 3 tries in her first ever league game, 2nd year Center Gabi Choumiline-Savoie scored her first league try, and veteran full-back Jessica Sauter also ran in a try and converted a kick. Team Captain Anna Mallard converted three kicks in the win. Anna, unfortunately broke her wrist in a fall during the game and will be on the sidelines for the remainder of the season. Anna was at the scrimmage on Saturday and in good spirits. We all wish her a speedy recovery.

The BMHS rugby girls participated is a controlled scrimmage on Saturday versus the MHS newbies. The scrimmage was controlled and allowed stoppage in play for coaching and review of safety protocols. Players from both teams appeared to really enjoy themselves as can be seen in the picture attached.
The girls face École L’Odysee tonight at BMHS. Kickoff is at 5:15pm.
See you at the pitch.
