The Miramichi Valley Girls started the season off with a bang on Thursday April 27th versus JMA.  Despite very wet field conditions, ball handling was well managed and the set pieces sharp for both sides.

Co-Captians for the visitors scored a total of 3 tries, Francis-Savoie with one and Sweezey with 2.

Otherwise, the try scoring was spread around very well.  Other try scorers on the day for MVHS were Siddal, McNeil, Santamaria de Bustos, Kenny, Chambers, and D. Davies

As an observer this looked to be the most complete team MVHS has started a season with, and certainly the most comprehensive victory in recent memory to kick start their season.

JMA Captain Buchanan played amazing all game and led a late surge with JMA threatening to put a try on the board for the home team, but MVHS were up to playing the full 70 minutes and ran in a long try to end the game.

Both MVHS and JMA will be in tough today as JMA hosts Riverview High and MVHS travel to Moncton to play Moncton High School at Rocky Stone.
