Riverview High School Boys Top MVHS, advance to Semi Final

In a great back and forth game in Miramichi the Royals came out on top 35-32. The Royals scored first with Brant Guimond scoring the try and Neal Lemoine converting it to make it 7-0. MVHS came right back to make it 7-5 with an unconverted try. Royals responded quickly to go up 14-5 with Neal Lemoine scoring and converting his own try.


Then the MVHS Pulamoo’s roared back scoring 2 trys to go up 17-14 at the half. MVHS came out with a bang to start the 2nd half with 2 early trys scored by tough running from  their 10. Then the Royals picked up the pace to score 3 quick trys with about 10 minutes left in the game. Neal Lemoine got the first try picking up a stray ball to go 50 meters to score and converted his try for 2nd time in the game to make the score 27-21 MVHS. Then Josh Power had a tough run to score a try with Leo Kim converting it to put the Royals up 28-27. Royals responded again with Brant Guimond scoring his 2nd try of the game with Leo Kim getting the convert to make the score 35-27 Royals. MVHS came back and scored a try with about 5 minutes left to make the score 35-32. Then the Royals hung on for the last 5 minutes with great defence to make the final score 35-32.
